What this site does not do
- No repair service. We do not send anyone to your home and we do not take on jobs.

If you are asking about a specific problem
Give me something to work with. A crack described in words could be four different things. The same crack described precisely, with where it sits and what is behind it, is usually obvious in ten seconds.
- Where the damage is: wall or ceiling, which room, how high, how big
- Roughly how old the house is, and whether the wall is drywall, plaster, or masonry if you know
- When it appeared, and whether it is getting worse
- What is on the other side of that wall or above that ceiling: bathroom, roof, unheated space
What I can do is tell you what it sounds like and what I would check first. What I cannot do is inspect your house from a message, so treat the answer as a starting point rather than a verdict. Anything involving structure, asbestos, or mold beyond a small patch needs a qualified professional on site.
Corrections
If an article gets something wrong, tell me which one and what the error is. I would rather fix it than defend it. Corrections go into the article itself, with the date.
Business
Same form for anything else: press questions, product samples, advertising, or a request to reuse content. I do not publish paid guest posts or sponsored links.
